Pandem-Knits

Collaborations during this pandemic have been my sanity-savers! I've had the great fortune to work with Leann Bleakney of Silver Falls Fiber Company on several sweater patterns. Her beautiful hand-dyed yarns and keen color-sense have kept the hand-wringing at bay and have given my hands the opportunity to stay busy creating 3 new sweater patterns!

These patterns were written during quarantine due to Covid-19 (a time when keeping track of the day of the week seemed futile if not unnecessary). Throughout quarantine I found myself repeatedly reminded of the song, Tea for One by Led Zeppelin: 

 

How come twenty four hours

I hope that you will allow time to slow down a bit while you knit these sweaters. As the stitches slip from your left to right needles, take a moment to enjoy the process and the opportunity you have given yourself to create something with your own two hands.

Track your Stash: A Worksheet for 4 Strands Sweater

Body & Sleeves Tracking Sheet for alternating yarns The key to making the Sleeves of your 4 Strands Sweater match the Body is through careful tracking. Print this worksheet out and keep it with your pattern to make this tracking easier.  *tip:  weigh the stash yarns that you plan to use for the body of your sweater and reserve ½ of each color for working the sleeves. There's a Half-Full Moon rising!

Half-Full Moon pattern is now live! This has been a fun one to knit (in fact, I have made 3 of them so far)!  Half-Full Moon is a quick little crescent-shaped shawl which sports a pretty lace border.  It packs a whole lot of drape and color into its frame as well!  Shawl can be made up in any weight yarn which will make this an all weather favorite!   See my "Cast On" page for info. on where to find a downloadable copy of this pattern.
