Lupine in Bloom!

This cowl, which is the first pattern in a series, pays homage to the lovely Lupine flowers which grace the Pacific Northwest’s mountain meadows and coastal sands with their beautiful colors.

Knit in Malabrigo's Dos Tierras, a fabulous merino and alpaca blend yarn which lends its spectacular color and  amazing stitch definition to these pieces.

Mystery Revealed

The Mystery Knit-Along is complete and the project has been revealed!

Inspired by the upcoming Solar Eclipse, this "One-Skein Wonder" is knit from the bottom-up, in one piece and boasts a unique shape which gives the finished piece "curve appeal" for many wear-able options.

  • Special thanks goes out to my super-speedy test-knitter, Barb Barraclough.  Your eye for detail never fails!

  • Thanks also to all of my Mystery Knitters (Laurie, Debbie, Diane, Diana, Sharon, Gail, Paula, Barbara, Kelly, Theresa, Cindy, MaryAnne, Darrel, Carol, Lynn, Su, Karin, JoEllen, Judy, Jane, Jessica, Claudia, Amy, Susan, Erica and Tana). It has been fun knitting along side you all, and I can't wait to see your final shawls!

  • ...and to Alexandra Baldwin of Alexandra's Crafts Yarn:  Thank you so much for creating such an exciting and beautiful yarn--and for allowing me to get my hands on a skein before it was even finished drying!  It has been so much fun to work with.

Have you ever been tempted by a beautiful yarn?  So tempted that you just had to get it onto your needles right away--pushing aside all of the other WIP's in your life?

Thus was the case of this beautiful yarn from Fly Designs.  The deeply colorful and amazingly soft Merino Cashmere DK that made up this simple Tee-style sweater was all the inspiration I needed for its design!
